FlameTech® 20 Minute Borrowed Lite

MAXIMUM SIZE
7/0 x 8/8 assembly, no individual visible glass size may be greater than 1296 sq.in.

FIRE RATING
20 Minute, Negative Pressure UL, ITS (Warnock Hersey)

CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL
Solid Wood (any species which meets the Minimum Density Requirements

MINIMUM JAMB WIDTH
3-3/4″ in wood/steel stud or masonry

INTUMESCENT MATERIAL
None used

GASKETING MATERIAL
No gasketing used

ROUGH OPENING
Lined with 2” nominal wood stud, min. If mounted in masonry, stud anchored with mechinical fasteners at max of 24” O.C. A min. of 5/8” gypsum board required.

SHIM SPACE
No more than 1/4” between stud and back of jamb. If tightly fitted with fiberglass insulation, clearance may be increased to 1/2”.

ASSEMBLY REQUIREMENTS
Attach sides, bottom/sill and header with a min. of 1-5/8″ screws or 10d finish nails.

GLAZING
Approved fire-rated glass must be 1/4” less than opening and installed with FireClipsTM and sealed with glazing tape or silicone caulk.

JAMB ATTACHMENTS
Attach individual units to each other with 2” screws behind glass stops. Units must be separated by 3/4” MDF. Attach assembly to studs with a min. of 10d finish nails, not to exceed 24” O.C.

OTHER
Stop Application: Field or shop applied with 4d finish nails. Sidelight and clips must be installed in accordance with NFPA #80 and #105 Latest Editions.
